Hugo Were is President of the MCA. He chairs the MCA’s Value Group and is a member of the General Policy committee, working with leaders from other UK consulting firms to raise the profile of the UK consulting industry and to help clients realise true value from their consultants.
Hugo is a Senior Executive with two decades of experience with Accenture, the global consulting, technology and outsourcing company. He has led some of the largest and most challenging IT projects in the UK & Ireland. Hugo advises at Board level on strategic IT issues for financial institutions, utilities companies and the public sector and is a seasoned commentator in a wide variety of print and broadcast media.

Peter Hill is Chief Executive of the MCA. Peter started his career with J Sainsbury plc and then held Senior Manager and Director positions at Deloitte, Haskins & Sells and consultancy, Butler Cox. Following the acquisition of Butler Cox by CSC Index, Peter spent seven years as Vice President of CSC Index and subsequently spent four years as Vice President of The Concours Group in Europe. At the Concours Group he was a member of the European management team responsible for growth and bottom line profit.

Joy Burnford (née Hewgill) is Acting Operations Director of the MCA. Joy joined the MCA from PA Consulting Group where she was Marketing and Communications Manager for the strategy practice and, prior to that, Account Executive for three of PA's major clients. She has an MA in Management from St Andrews University and a passion for languages including Spanish and Russian.

David Pippett is the MCA's Media Relations Consultant. David has managed the MCA media relations campaign since 2002. He has over 10 year’s experience of working within the public relations and marketing industry. His formative years were spent working for a Top 50 PR agency in London, managing financial services and business to business client campaigns for brands such as Norwich Union, Royal Bank of Scotland and Fortis Bank. He has also managed media campaigns for a number of other Trade Associations. David is based in Bath and has a BA in Public Relations and Media.

Fiona Czerniawska is Director of the MCA's Think Tank and the founder of Arkimeda, a firm specialising in researching and consulting to the consulting industry. Fiona is also a programme director at London Business School's Centre for Management Development. Her publications include: Management Consulting in Practice, Management Consultancy in the 21st Century, The UK Consulting Industry 2003/4, and The Intelligent Client: Managing your Management Consultant.

Sarah Taylor manages MCA’s relationships with sponsors. She has over twenty years’ business-to-business sales and marketing communications experience, of which the last ten have been in the consultancy sector. Nick Owen - Vice-President of MCA 2008/9
Nick Owen is a Senior Partner at Deloitte and leads Consumer, Commercial and Industrial consulting industry team. He has over 20 years experience predominately in the private sectors working with, telecommunications, Lifesciences, energy and professional services organisations on a range of strategic and operational transformation programmes.
Nick started his career in Arthur Andersen and he became the Managing Partner of Andersen Business consulting in 2000. In 2002 he joined Deloitte and has served on the UK Executive and the Consulting leadership team since then. |

David Cox - Vice-President of MCA 2008/9
David Cox is Managing Director of Mott MacDonald’s managing and consultancy business. With over twenty years experience in consulting, David has worked across a wide spectrum of public and private sector clients.
David’s business has grown from assuring the delivery of major programmes to delivering pragmatic solutions to strategic and operational change programmes.
David’s management consultancy business is backed by the global spread of Mott MacDonald’s management, engineering and development consultancy. |

Paul Winter - Vice-President of MCA 2008/9
Paul is a Vice President of the Management Consultancies’ Association, Chief Executive of MCA member Corpra and a visiting lecturer in strategic management at Oxford Brookes University.
After holding a number of management and leadership positions in property, venture capital and B2B services, Paul founded and developed the concept and business model of Corpra.
Paul’s key area of work is the development of clear implementable strategies for business leaders. He recently completed a major research assignment on corporate strategy and real estate alignment at the Cranfield University Advance Manage Research Centre for which he was awarded his Masters Degree.
