Categories and their descriptions for the 2009 Awards

There are a total of nine categories for the Consultant of the Year Awards - six service line categories and three career stage categories.

Service line categories
Change Management Consultant of the Year
Exceptional performance in managing change, cultural change, restructuring or internal communications.

HR Consultant of the Year

Exceptional performance in HR strategy and management, leadership, organisational development, training and development, recruitment, or retention and motivation.

IT Consultant of the Year
Exceptional performance in IT strategy, IT programme management, systems development and integration, enterprise resource planning, wireless and mobile communications or product technology.

Marketing Consultant of the Year
Exceptional performance in customer strategy, data management, salesforce effectiveness, marketing communications, market research, brand management, advertising strategy or marketing effectiveness.

Performance Improvement Consultant of the Year
Exceptional performance in performance improvement, process re-engineering, product development, productivity and process design, supply chain, procurement, distribution, logistics or quality assurance.

Strategy Consultant of the Year
Exceptional performance in strategy, mergers and acquisitions, market analysis, risk management, value management, or corporate venturing.

Career stage categories

Young Consultant of the Year
Exceptional performance by an individual who has been a consultant for under two years.

Future Leader of the Year
Exceptional performance by an individual who has been a consultant for at least two years and shows the potential to become a future leader in a consulting firm.

Outstanding Achievement Award

Exceptional performance by consulting leader (partner, or equivalent level) who has held this position at the same consulting firm for at least 12 months.
