The MCA focuses on delivering value to members in three key areas:

Voice of the Industry

The MCA provides a platform for members to engage in public debate with business and government on topical issues. Our activities include reports, policy papers, events and articles, giving members an opportunity to demonstrate their expertise and showcase best practice. Members are also invited to contribute via working groups which allow experts from member firms to debate issues and develop new thinking for the industry.

The MCA achieves substantial press coverage for its reports and insights, and it is highly respected as an authoritative source of commentary on not only the industry but wider business and public sector issues. We have strong relationships with journalists in the national press, broadcast, and the relevant trades.

The MCA frequently holds meetings with government bodies and parliamentarians to communicate the value of the industry, contribute to debate, and represent the interests of the UK consulting industry.

Professionalism
All firms have to meet stringent entry criteria to become MCA members, and are audited periodically to ensure that these high standards are maintained. This ensures that MCA membership is a true badge of quality that helps MCA members to stand out from the competition. The MCA Code of Practice summarises the standards a client can expect from an MCA member.

The MCA Industry Report, the flagship report of the MCA's industry research programme, is produced annually and is the most authoritative source of information on the management consulting industry in the UK. The MCA produces comment and statistical information relating to the consulting industry throughout the year.

The MCA Awards have been recognising the very best that the UK Management Consulting Industry has to offer for over 14 years. The 2011 MCA Awards will recognise both the most successful consultant/client projects, and the most outstanding individual consultants. The awards are open to non-member firms as well as members. Members benefit from member reductions for entry and dinner tickets. The finale of the awards is a black tie event each April.

Member Engagement
The MCA’s events programme facilitates knowledge sharing and collaboration between member firms, with a series of high quality events and networking groups including Council Dinners, the Annual Reception and the Awards Dinner. The MCA also runs a number of networking groups including the Young MCA, Future Leaders, the Comms Network and the SME Network.
