The 2008 UK Consulting Industry Report found that consulting industry growth was lower than in the previous two years, with traditional management consulting increasing by 10 percent in 2007 to just under £6billion. While this lower level of industry growth reflected broad economic uncertainty, financial services (the largest sector for consulting at £1.4billion in 2007), remained comparatively strong at that time – up 20 percent.
