2016 MCA Awards – Key Dates Announced

The Management Consultancies Association (MCA) has launched the 2016 MCA Awards microsite this week, confirming that entries to the 2016 awards open on 14th September 2015. The Awards are open to all consulting firms working in the UK.

These Awards celebrate excellence in UK management consulting, and are increasingly valued by client organisations as well as consulting firms. Winners in 2015 included projects with the Commonwealth Games, Kodak Alaris, Jaguar Land Rover, RBS and HSBC – as well as many of the best public sector organisations. The winning consulting firms included global, established big-name companies and specialist smaller firms. A new category for Best Use of Thought Leadership was hard fought.

The 2016 MCA Awards are held in association with The Times. 23 categories – 14 project categories and six individual consultant categories – are supplemented by three overall awards: Project of the Year, Consultant of the Year and Best New Consultancy. A panel of independent and expert judges with experience of working in the private and public sectors, universities, consultancy and journalism will decide the winners.

Other key dates include an entry deadline of Friday 23rd October 2015, with a deadline for written submissions on Friday 6th November 2015. All other key dates can be viewed on the Awards Timeline.

The MCA will be hosting an Awards workshop on Thursday 10th September 2015 for those firms that wish to learn more about the Awards process as a whole. Expert panellists, including previous judges, will provide their insights into what they look for in both the written entries and interviews, and the important role of the client. There are limited spaces for this event, which is free to MCA members.

Alan Leaman, CEO of the MCA said:

“The MCA Awards grow bigger and better each year. These case studies are increasingly recognised as the bench-mark for excellence in management consulting – by clients in particular – and our awards evening is the showcase for the UK industry. No self-confident consulting firm with a track-record of quality work should sit this one out.”

Entries can be purchased from the MCA Awards microsite from 14th September 2015, but MCA members should login to the MCA member area to benefit from the discounted rate.

The winning case studies and runners up will be announced and celebrated at a gala dinner at the Park Plaza Westminster on Thursday 21st April 2016, with the winners featured in a special Times supplement in May 2016.
