Katie Derham is one of the UK’s leading broadcasters. She spent 15 years of her broadcasting career in news and current affairs, first at the BBC and then as ITV News’ youngest ever newsreader, where her role as anchor meant she covered everything from elections to royal weddings and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Since 2010 she has been the face of the BBC Proms and a regular presenter on Radio 3, where she can be heard every weekday on Afternoon on 3. She also fronts music and arts documentaries both on television and radio. In September 2015 her professional life took a different and decidedly glittery direction when she took part in Strictly Come Dancing, reaching the final. 2015 also saw the launch of Peanut and Crumb, a production and media strategy company which Katie set up with the BAFTA nominated producer and director Jane Gerber. Katie is much in demand as a host of conferences and award ceremonies; her economics degree and early career as a business journalist makes her particularly popular in the business and finance worlds.
