MCA HOSTS SERIES OF WORKSHOPS ON THE IMPACT OF COVID-19

Coronavirus Workshops

The Management Consultancies Association (MCA) is hosting a series of virtual workshops for MCA member firms and their employees on issues impacting both individuals and employees during the current situation. To date, over 250 consulting leaders have joined a number of events to listen to expert advice and views from a range of specialists on a variety of subjects ranging from managing client relationships during disruption brought about by Coronavirus to good practice for working from home.  Further workshops taking place include a view of Government support packages to building emotional resilience and coping in demanding times.

Tamzen Isacsson, MCA Chief Executive said:

Everyone is experiencing major changes on how we go about our lives with big impacts on employers, employees and private and public sector organisations across the UK. Our member firms are working with tens of thousands of clients across the country dealing with this challenge and getting businesses remote working both here in the UK and abroad. As a result, the MCA continues to meet the needs of its members who are coping with a number of new, complex issues on a day to day basis. These workshops are just one of the ways that the MCA is helping firms during this unprecedented period.

Workshops are open to MCA members and their employees only and futures ones include:

  • Keeping the Sales Pipeline moving during COVID-19 disruption

Hosted by David Bailey, focusing on keeping the Consulting projects and sales pipeline moving during disruption brought about by Coronavirus.

  • A View on Government Support Packages

MCA Member firm, EY, host an online workshop session focused on discussing the current government support packages in response to COVID-19.

  • Building Emotional Resilience and Coping in Demanding Times

Led by Roberta Carter from PwC and Leadership Coach, Jeanette Pratt, the workshop will focus on practical tips and sharing best practises on managing mental well-being whilst social distancing.

Workshops have also been arranged specifically for Young MCA members:

  • Maintaining Mental Well-Being while working remotely

Focussing on maintaining mental well-being while working remotely, this virtual forum is to allow Young Consultants to share common issues and support each other during the current period of change.

  • Brain-Hacks for Sanity, Productivity and Anxiety

Hosted by Business Psychologist, Helen Frewin, the session looks at how we are all facing some form of anxiety – whether that’s a conscious thought of how much food you have left in the house, or an unconscious unease that is leading to disturbed sleep. The session will help understanding how we can stay productive and do our best work as well as managing anxiety.
