Emily Sweigart, Cowry Consulting

Young Consultant of the Year

MCA Awards 2026 Finalist

Emily is Head of Experimentation at Cowry Consulting, a role which she progressed to in just three years. Her mission is to help organisations prioritise the humans that drive them by operating at the intersection of behavioural science and commercial excellence. Emily’s work is defined by her belief that human-centric strategies are the ultimate drivers of growth.

Emily’s behavioural economics expertise means she is passionate about the financial services sector and improving financial outcomes. For example, she pioneered a landmark, data- and behaviourally- driven response to the FCA’s Consumer Duty that has redefined how the wealth management sector approaches the regulation. Furthermore, Emily has challenged long-standing industry orthodoxies in the music licensing sector, successfully pivoting a compliance-heavy model into an empathy-led strategy that delivered significant commercial growth, whilst managing complex client and partner ecosystems.

Beyond consulting excellence, Emily is dedicated to future-proofing both consulting and behavioural science. She helms experimental innovation, developing data-driven tools and methodologies that ensure technical and strategic rigour for clients, whilst contributing to Cowry’s proposition. Her commitment to her industry is also highlighted by BeSci Global, a taskforce responsible for the most comprehensive industry report in the field, building a definitive landscape of behavioural science’s role in consultancy. At the same time, she works to lower barriers to consultancy for the next generation. From redefining Cowry’s internship hiring criteria, to establishing work experience partnerships with local schools, Emily is committed to building an equitable talent pipeline that reflects the society the consulting profession serves.
