Inclusion Award

Emma is pivotal in shaping an inclusive culture at BAE Systems by championing connection, respect and inclusion in how teams work and interact. Alongside her role as Senior Consultant, specialising in Business Change, she actively pursues roles and development opportunities that enable her to embed inclusivity. Emma is an Ethics Officer, Mental Health First Aider, Employee Connection Group Communications and Engagement Officer, People Manager, and mentor, each contributing to a culture of inclusion and trust.
A key initiative Emma pioneered is the establishment of an enterprise-wide Employee Connection Group focused on age inclusion. From building the case and securing senior sponsorship, to designing its structure and communications, she transformed the concept into a thriving community of over 100 members within a year. The group now influences policy, process and cross-regional dialogue, offering approaches transferable to other organisations navigating a multigenerational workforce.
Appointed Local Ethics Officer in 2025, Emma has represented ethics at BAE Forum’s, increased awareness of the Ethics Hotline, supported investigations alongside the Ethics Counsel and HR and contributed to refreshing BAE Systems’ Code of Conduct to improve its relevance and value.
Alongside this, Emma is a trained facilitator for delivering the CEO-sponsored Inclusive and Respectful Workplace programme. She has supported over 800 colleagues and amplified 250 voices through organising ‘Listening with Leadership’ sessions, turning feedback into meaningful cultural change.
Emma’s empathy and desire to improve others underpins everything she does, she is committed to continuing her work as BAE System’s culture evolves.
