Grace Strong, AtkinsRéalis

Chartered Management Consultant of the Year

MCA Awards 2026 Finalist

Innovation in consultancy isn’t about flashy ideas, it’s about solving problems differently.  For Grace Strong, it means having the confidence to view challenges through different lenses and bringing others on an inspiring, practical journey of creativity and change. Fascinated by how innovation intertwines with the DNA of consultancy, this belief has shaped Grace’s career as a management consultant.

As an innovation subject-matter-expert she has advised on interventions in water, defence and nationally critical secure infrastructure, as well as within HR, business development and early careers. Through these experiences, she learnt and developed her skills to constructively challenge clients, driving excellence in delivery that might not have been her clients’ assumed vision.

Grace committed early to Chartership in August 2020, achieving Chartered Management Consultant status just five years into her career. She has championed Chartership across her organisation and with partner organisations, supporting others through the process and promoting the value of professional excellence, ethics and continuous development.

Grace wants to give others the great start she had, so supports colleagues by coaching emerging consultants and role modelling the professional standards that underpin high-quality management consultancy.

In 2025, Grace returned from maternity leave and acts as an ambassador for returners, supporting colleagues navigating the transition back into consultancy. Grace combines delivery excellence, innovation leadership, advocacy and authenticity to make consulting better. She strives to ensure the profession is not only more successful, but more sustainable and inclusive.
