Rising Star

Honor Millard is living proof of why humans remain crucial in the consulting business, even as artificial intelligence (AI) gains ground. She puts a human face on transformation, listening and adapting to clients, putting people first and organising internal team-building activities – from inspirational speakers to sports days. It’s part strategy, part who she is. Her contagious energy, outside-the-box creativity and perceptiveness make her stand out.
Honor is a junior consultant but exudes the confidence of a veteran expert. She will respectfully “bug” a senior manager to gain the input she needs and outshines experienced thought leaders.
One senior director said: “Honor is one of the strongest junior consultants I have worked with in over 15 years. She has an ability to engage clients with a confidence beyond her experience level and impresses both clients and colleagues.”
Indeed, she left such an impression that she was put in charge of communications and engagement for a marketing operations transformation that reached 6000 people at consumer goods giant Unilever – the most extensive marketing operations transformation in Unilever’s history.
In a game-changing idea, Honor created a bespoke video series, creating a distinct visual identity and theme that shaped the entire engagement strategy. Her hand-crafted interviews and Q&As with Unilever leadership became a key tool for implementing change. “It humanised the programme. It made it more than just about numbers. For a client who had been through a lot of transformation, that was really important,” Honor says.
