Rising Star
Hugo is a member of Mott MacDonald’s Strategic Advisory team. Hugo has made a significant impact within his first two years in consultancy, making a tangible contribution to one of the most complex client challenges – the decarbonisation of infrastructure assets. He combines a solutions driven mindset with strong communication and leadership skills to deliver major Sustainability and Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) programmes.
His most substantial contribution has been leading the engagement workstream for a transformational decarbonisation programme for Heathrow Airport Ltd, part of the airport’s £250m investment to achieve net zero by 2050. Drawing on specialist knowledge of decarbonisation principles and industry best practice, he helped design and implement a bespoke Carbon Management Standard that embeds carbon reduction into decision making across all six of Heathrow’s capital investment programmes.
With a dedication to professional development and supporting others, Hugo has been actively involved with Early Career Professional Networks both within Mott MacDonald and client organisations. He also contributes to Heathrow Airport’s Young Consultants Network, engaging with peers from major engineering consultancies. These activities enhance his inclusive communication style and collaborative problem-solving approach, enhancing delivery for both his organisation and clients.
With his expertise and emerging leadership qualities, Hugo aspires to further qualify in the management consultancy training pathway and take on a mentoring role to support other junior professionals on their route to becoming industry-leading management consultants.
