Kate Kenyon, PwC

Team Leader Consultant of the Year

MCA Awards 2026 Finalist

Kate has demonstrated exceptional leadership in one of the most demanding client environments PwC has faced in recent years. As the lead for restoring the end to end finance operations for a major retailer following a significant business-wide incident, she became the anchor for both PwC and the client’s teams during a period of intense pressure, uncertainty and emotional strain. Her calm authority, deep empathy and relentless commitment enabled the organisation to regain control of its core financial processes and operate with confidence again.

What sets Kate apart is her ability to lead with clarity and humanity in situations where neither is guaranteed. She quickly built trust with senior client stakeholders, translating complex risks into clear, actionable decisions, and providing steady reassurance when the organisation was at its most vulnerable. Her cross functional mindset allowed her to understand the upstream and downstream impacts of restoring operations, enabling her to sequence recovery work effectively and rebuild confidence in the systems that underpin the business.

Kate’s leadership of a 16 person team was equally impressive. She created structure where none existed, established disciplined ways of working, and fostered a culture of resilience, openness and mutual support. Her ability to motivate teams through long hours, high stakes and rapidly shifting priorities was repeatedly recognised by colleagues and clients alike.

Kate exemplifies what it means to be an outstanding team leader: compassionate, decisive, unflappable under pressure, and wholly committed to doing the right thing for her people and her clients. She is a truly deserving candidate for Team Leader Consultant of the Year.
