Lara Shorthose is a high-performing early-career consultant delivering measurable impact through rapid progression and a distinctive coaching-led consulting approach. Since joining Sharing in Growth in September 2023 as its first Junior Business Coach, Lara has progressed quickly from graduate entrant to managing complex transformation activity across multiple organisations.
Originally a postgraduate in pharmaceutical operations with a background in high-performance sport, Lara brings a unique perspective to consulting. Her experience in competitive netball shaped a deep understanding of leadership, performance psychology and behavioural change. She has translated these principles into a coaching-led consulting approach that combines structured analysis with performance coaching to deliver sustainable operational improvements.
During her first engagement at Jaltek Systems, Lara contributed to operational efficiency improvements through utilisation analysis and time-in-motion studies that significantly increased productivity and delivered a strong return on investment. Her impact was recognised by senior leadership, with Managing Director Steve Pittom noting she had “made a real difference to the business.”
Building on this success, Lara went on to manage programme governance for a supplier development project spanning fourteen suppliers across the UK and mainland Europe. She established governance structures, coordinated cross-supplier collaboration and mitigated delivery risks, preventing a potential three-to-five-week programme delay.
In under two years, Lara has demonstrated the ability to combine analytical consulting, programme leadership and coaching-led behavioural change to deliver measurable impact for clients while helping build capability within teams.
