Member Briefing with Emily Middleton, DSIT – AI, Digital Government and the Next Phase of Public Sector Transformation

MCA members are invited to an invitation-only briefing with Emily Middleton, Director General for Digital Transformation at the Government Digital Service (GDS), Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT). With government focused on implementing AI and digital technologies across public services in a bid to improve public sector productivity, this session will explore how departments are moving from experimentation to delivery. The discussion will cover the opportunities and challenges of transformation at scale, the governance of these new technologies, workforce capability and organisational change, as well as the role consulting firms can play in supporting responsible adoption.

 

The briefing will aim to:

  • Understand government’s approach to the next phase of AI adoption and digital transformation.
  • Explore the opportunities and challenges of delivering transformation at scale.
  • Examine the governance, workforce and organisational implications of AI implementation.
  • Discuss how consulting firms can support technology-enabled change across government and the wider economy.

 

The event will be interactive and aimed at senior consulting leaders working on digital transformation within the public sector.
