Diversity & Age with BAE Systems Applied Intelligence

28 November 2017 | 6:30 PM
BAE Systems, BlueFin, 110 Southwark Street, SE1 0TA

Two forces are coming into increasing conflict across consulting. On one side is the ever accelerating pace of change and scale of digital disruption, and the other the complex and evolving needs of a rapidly ageing workforce. How do we ensure that employees are appropriately equipped to perform throughout increasingly extended portfolio careers? What challenges do wider diversity initiatives pose to inclusivity for older workers?

This event will examine these tensions and more. Our expert speakers will share their insights on the cultures of British industry, consulting and digital, and how receptive they are to the challenge in Diversity and Age. Building on the success of the previous joint BAE/MCA session of Gender Issues in Digital Advisory, participants will also have the opportunity to take part in interactive workshops, to drive practical outputs on how the industry can address these issues.

Topics will include:

  • Making diversity and inclusion relevant and resonant for older employees
  • Making recruitment genuinely inclusive for older workers
  • Addressing the needs of a workforce with increasingly extended working lives
  • Inter-generational challenges on perceptions of diversity
