Young Professionals in the consulting and banking industry are one of the top earners in the professional industry. However, not all young professional know the strategies of saving their income and investing it adequately to grow their wealth. According to the Financial Times, three out of five young professionals agree that their lives would improve if they could manage their finances better. We welcome you to our Personal Finance panel event hosted by the RBS Professional Services Team in collaboration with the Young Management Consultancies Association. The panel will explore the challenges faced by young professionals when starting to save, managing personal finances, exploring investment opportunities and achieving the optimal outcome.

Speakers

 

Jules McClean

Jules McClean is an accredited Psychotherapist with an Honours' Degree in Counselling. She is also a highly experienced trainer and delivers various packages of training for the EAP company ComPsych. Jules goes into many corporate companies throughout the UK and presents on the many aspects of Well-Being to employees.

Jules will cover the behavioural approach and psychology behind saving money, exploring what motivates us when we save and spend.

 

Hannah Pendlebury

Hannah is an Independent Financial Advisor who works predominantly with individuals and small businesses. Having joined the industry in 2014, Hannah has developed a particular interest in investments and pensions and is passionate about helping clients achieve their financial goals across all life stages

Hannah will talk about some of the core principles of creating a robust investment strategy to help you achieve your goals and secure your financial future

 

Alexandra Delcea

Alexandra is a Senior Portfolio Manager in Client Investment Management & Wealth Structuring, having joined Coutts in 2011 and is responsible for running private client portfolios. Prior to joining Coutts, Alexandra worked at HSBC Private Bank and Higham Group in a variety of roles based in London, Geneva and New York. She has over 10 years of experience in wealth management working with both domestic and international clients.

Alex will talk through investment from a Coutts point of view, using her experience to highlight key helpful strategies when considering young professionals’ personal finance.

 

Alan Marshall

Alan Marshall joined Coutts in 2003 following a five year career at Lloyds Private Banking, where he managed High Net Worth relationships. Alan looks after the financial affairs of corporate executives from CEOs of major FTSE350 businesses to various members of the Board. Alan Marshall deeply understands the nuances of the banking and wealth management world across three financial centres, from Threadneedle Street to Paris and Geneva. The most important quality in a wealth manager for him is ‘getting into the DNA of why clients want to invest.’ Alan tends to specialise in the retail sector where he partners with commercial teams in that space at RBS. Alan is fluent in French.

Alan specializes in the long-term financial journey of a professional, and will talk through what to bear in mind when looking to the future.

 

Bukiie Smart

Bukiie is an Audit trainee, on her way to becoming an ACA qualified accountant. Having attained a First Class degree in Accounting and Finance at university, Bukiie is passionate about helping young adults succeed in their financial lives. She runs Save Spend Invest, a personal finance platform that aims to empower millennials to save better, spend wiser and invest smarter. Bukiie’s passion to engage young people in the conversation of personal finance and charting their path to financial freedom motivates her to run conferences, workshops and write regular blog posts (www.savespendinvest.co.uk).

Bukiie will speak on the panel where she will bring the young professional perspective to personal finance.
