MCA AWARDS PRESENTER FOR 2026 ANNOUNCED

The Management Consultancies Association (MCA) has announced journalist and broadcaster Amol Rajan as the presenter of this year’s MCA Awards, taking place on Monday 12 October. 

This year the MCA has received a record number of entries from member firms, reflecting the continued strength of the UK consulting sector. The MCA Awards remain the largest and most prestigious event in the consulting calendar, recognising the transformational work the sector delivers for society and the economy, while celebrating exceptional talent across the industry. 

Each year the MCA Awards attract submissions from small, medium and large consulting firms from across the UK. This year’s finalists show the very best of the sector, highlighting the range of talent and the impact of consulting across the economy and society. They recognise the projects and individuals delivering measurable impact for clients across the UK and internationally, and demonstrating how consulting is driving productivity, strengthening cyber resilience, embedding AI, and delivering lasting social value while supporting sustainability goals. 

Presenting the Awards at the ceremony in October will be journalist, broadcaster and author Amol Rajan. Amol previously edited The Independent, becoming the youngest editor of a national newspaper. He has since become a leading figure in British broadcasting, presenting a wide range of major BBC programmes, including University Challenge and BBC Radio 4’s Today programme. Amol has fronted high-profile documentaries and led acclaimed long-form interviews through his Amol Rajan Interviews series, speaking with global leaders such as Sir Tony Blair alongside hosting his podcast Radical with Amol Rajan, which explores major political, economic and cultural issues through in-depth conversations with leading thinkers. Amol is leaving the BBC in the Autumn and continues to be a prominent and respected voice across current affairs broadcasting.

The MCA Awards are judged by over 55 independent judges drawn from academia, the media, government and the private sector. Judges for the 2026 Awards include Paul Terrington CBE MCMI ChMC, former PwC UK Board Member; Maryam Moshiri, Chief News Presenter at the BBC; and The Rt Hon Dame Penny Mordaunt DBE, former Secretary of State for Defence. Every submission is independently assessed, with judges required to sign a strict code of conduct and follow a robust marking and interview process with clear guidelines and criteria. The MCA does not participate in judging decisions; its role is limited to setting the award categories, defining the judging criteria and recruiting the judges. All final decisions are made independently by the judging panels in line with the established process.
