KPMG’s Make AI Scale report finds that while UK businesses are committed to AI, many programmes lose momentum after early wins. The report argues that leaders need to move beyond treating AI as a change programme and instead redesign work, operating models and governance to scale AI across the enterprise.
Key insights include:
• 51% of UK organisations rank employee adoption as the biggest AI strategy challenge over the next year.
• 43% cite skills and capability gaps, and the same proportion point to poor user experience or weak workflow integration.
• 65% would continue investing in AI even without measurable short-term ROI.
