KPMG’s insight explores how organisations are progressing through different stages of AI adoption. It suggests most businesses are still using AI unevenly, often through existing tools such as Copilot, while a smaller group is taking a more structured approach to governance, prompt engineering and targeted use cases across functions such as finance, HR and sales. A leading minority is already developing bespoke AI tools and applying the technology to more advanced areas including scenario modelling, simulations and front-office activity.
