The confidence gap is the growth gap. And no rate decision will close it

The Bank of England has maintained interest rates at 3.75%, but the real issue lies in business confidence. Magnus Consulting’s GTM Confidence Index, surveying 108 senior B2B leaders globally, found that just 9% are highly confident of meeting 2026 growth targets. While over half of organisations are chasing aggressive growth, only 12% believe these ambitions are achievable. Confidence is particularly low in the mid-market and amongst PE-backed firms, many of whom face stagnant or shrinking budgets.

Ambition is everywhere. Confidence is not.
