DAY IN THE LIFE OF A YOUNG CONSULTANT | DINUJA SURENDRAN

Digital Transformation Consultant

ATOS

As a Digital Transformation Consultant in the Future of Work Practice, my days are always full of impact, collaboration and creativity, spread across client delivery, practice development and business development.

I currently lead the delivery of a M365 Exploitation and Adoption project, for an Energy and Utilities client. My role spans strategic solutioning, stakeholder engagement and driving user adoption. Atos Consulting are actively using Microsoft CoPilot to create training materials and define how it can be embedded into client organisations. I recently led the successful extension of the project and now own a newly expanded workstream where I’m shaping the roadmap, aligning delivery with business needs and showcasing success stories that have gained visibility across the wider organisation.

Recently I organised a South Asian Heritage Month Lunch and Learn, inspired by the Young MCA’s ‘Routes of Impact, Celebrating South Asian Excellence in Consulting’ event in July, that I attended. I curated a panel discussion to explore how upbringing, social norms and personal branding shape our professional journeys. It was a space for storytelling, reflection and connection and I was proud to lead it.

One of the most rewarding aspects of consulting has been the relationships I have built. Clients become part of your journey, and the trust developed through delivery is what drives long term impact.

Whether it’s enabling digital transformation in essential services or supporting grassroots initiatives, our work acts as a force for good to shape society for the better.

For anyone considering consulting as a career, my advice is to be proactive, shape your own journey and enjoy the process. Consulting offers a unique opportunity to grow quickly, work across diverse teams and make a real impact both for clients and within your own organisation.
