Consultant
Inner Circle Consulting
Throughout my career, I’ve always been guided by a core value to work for organisations that drive positive change and create meaningful impact for society. I began my journey in the public sector and soon after moved into the consulting world, a fast-paced environment that exposed me to diverse projects and the opportunity to deliver real, tangible results. From that point on, my focus gravitated toward public service reform and transformation.
Moving to a new country and searching for the right job is never easy. It challenges your confidence, pushes you to adapt quickly, and forces you to rebuild your professional network from scratch. I was fortunate to be introduced to Inner Circle Consulting’s (ICC) work and even more fortunate to join the team.
At Inner Circle, we work alongside local governments and public sector institutions to support them achieve measurable, lasting outcomes. I genuinely believe that our work strengthens communities, improves public services, and leaves teams equipped to continue making a difference long after a project ends. Having a public purpose at the heart of my work is a major source of motivation every single day.
One of the things I value most in our everyday work is our collaborative spirit. When we’re faced with complex challenges, we come together, often through scoping sessions, to brainstorm, question assumptions, and build on one another’s ideas. These sessions not only spark creativity but also create a safe environment where diverse perspectives are welcomed and truly valued. This approach creates a strong sense of shared ownership, where everyone feels connected to the outcome. As a team, we’re always experimenting with new ways of working, whether through structured workshops or more informal, creative spaces. It keeps our thinking fresh and our collaboration strong.
It’s also worth mentioning that consulting can become quite intense at times, so self-motivation is essential. I stay energised during demanding periods by keeping my eye on the bigger picture. Thinking about the positive impact our work will have and visualising successful delivery helps me maintain both motivation and perspective. This mindset keeps me balanced and focused, even when the pace is high.
I also make a conscious effort to stay on top of emerging trends in the consulting field. For instance, I’ve started using AI in my work to speed up routine tasks and improve quality. This gives me more time to focus on higher-value, strategic activities. I see AI as a powerful tool that, when used thoughtfully, can boost productivity and give more space for strategic thinking.
Consulting is a career truly worth pursuing if you enjoy continuous learning and fresh challenges. You work on a wide range of projects and meet talented, insightful people from all backgrounds, both colleagues and clients. Your development never really stops. The work is engaging and varied, meaning you’re rarely bored and constantly growing while building meaningful, lasting relationships.
