MCA Diversity and Inclusion

EQUALITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION STATEMENT

The Management Consultancies Association (MCA) aspires to be an industry leader in equality, diversity and inclusion and strives to have these values imbedded in the MCA culture.

Our aim is for our workforce to be truly representative of all sections of society, and for each person involved in our organisation to feel respected and able to give their best.

In providing our services to our members we are committed against unlawful discrimination of our staff, members or the general public.

Our commitments

Here at the MCA we want all of our staff to feel valued, appreciated, and free to be who they are at work. We believe that providing an inclusive working environment helps our staff develop to their full potential and give their best.

The MCA is proud of its diversity and recognises the value that this brings to the business. We are pleased to share some statistics following our latest staff survey conducted in July 2024. The MCA Team consists of 77% female and 23% male colleagues with 8% of staff considering themselves to have a disability.

We are committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of our activities, through the development of fair and equitable policies, procedures, training and development programmes, which are consistently applied and regularly monitored.

We embrace a culture where different ways of working are encouraged, and staff feel confident balancing their work and home lives. We want to ensure our culture is as inclusive as possible and that opportunities are open to all.

In addition to the competitive parental leave package we offer, outlined below, working parents are also supported by flexible working policies.

Maternity Leave Policy:
We offer 20 weeks full pay followed by 19 weeks at the standard SMP rate to all eligible employees.

Paternity Leave Policy:
We offer 4 weeks full pay in addition to 2 weeks statutory paternity pay (SPP) for eligible employees.

We are committed to ensuring that job applicants and staff are given equal opportunity in all aspects of their recruitment, employment, training, and promotion. We also seek to ensure that all contractors, MCA members and suppliers are treated fairly. We will not discriminate in any areas of our business on the grounds of any protected characteristics.
