Women in Consulting

The MCA supports industry efforts to improve progress on diversity and inclusion, implementing best practice and monitoring the diversity of the consultancy sector workforce over time. One of the key areas of focus is promoting women in consulting, championing inspirational stories, sharing ideas and working to encourage women in the sector, to increase progression at senior levels in the industry.

The network was launched in 2020 and a video was produced which showed the responses of member firms on why they think it is important that there is drive in encouraging women into the consulting sector and increasing progression. You can view this video here. MCA Women in Consulting Network.

The MCA host a variety of events suggested and coordinated by this working group, recently including the impact of hybrid working on women in consulting, an inclusive language workshop and a best practice session for menopause support.

In the coming year, the group are planning events and activities on topics such as Gender Pay Gap, Impact of Technology, Ageism and the importance of personal storytelling, these events will be open to all MCA Members to join, you can register here.

The Women in Consulting Working Group have also played a key role in providing views and commentary on the MCA’s annual reports which can be viewed here.

The MCA Women in Consulting Working Group meet regularly at virtual meetings and in-person throughout the year to network and discuss important topics within this agenda.
