Simon Wilson, EY

Young Consultant of the Year

Simon is a senior consultant at EY. When he started out, his purpose was to work towards solving some of society’s biggest issues, and consulting has certainly proven to be the right choice. In just three years, he has been able to have a direct positive impact on over 300,000 people and positively improve the lives of millions – be it driving critical change in government or helping EY redefine its social impact strategy.

Notably, in his work with the Home Office, Simon has delivered citizen outcomes by working collaboratively with senior public figures through to end-users. His work has ranged from prioritising against the strategic mission to keep the country safe during the pandemic, to managing the Home Office’s commercial risk.

In line with EY’s purpose of Building a better working world, Simon’s passion for impact goes beyond day-to-day client engagements. He has also helped design, build, test and roll out EY’s Global Corporate Responsibility offering, EY Ripples. Simon has also facilitated and led student employability workshops and remains a champion of the EY Foundation charity in government.
