The MCA has announced that the 2020 MCA Awards will take place on Thursday 9th July 2020 as an exclusive online event. It follows the postponement of the awards earlier this year due to COVID-19.

The health and well-being of MCA members, clients and guests is of primary concern and this virtual event is in response to social-distancing guidelines from Public Health England (PHE) which are expected to remain in place for some time. The awards will instead be a professional, virtual, event, hosted by BBC Presenter, Jeremy Vine, and is expected be enjoyed by MCA Member Firms and their key clients to celebrate and recognise consulting excellence within the sector.

The MCA anticipates that the awards will return to their usual format next year with the MCA Awards ceremony and dinner taking place on November 1st 2021. The updated timetable for 2021 will be announced in due course.

Tamzen Isacsson, Chief Executive of the MCA, said:

“We hope that by celebrating the MCA Awards this summer and announcing the results will provide a positive boost for all those finalists that participated and we hope as many MCA members and clients will be able to join us as possible.”

The MCA Awards have been an important event in the UK consulting calendar for over 23 years

The Awards entries demonstrate the true value of consulting to both the private and public sector and the impact consulting has on our society. Competition between firms to win an Award is extremely competitive with MCA Award case studies highlighting the very best examples of consulting in the UK.

There are now 23 categories of awards including prizes for firms, projects and individuals. Three of these categories are for ‘overall’ winners, with the prestigious Project of the Year going to the project that the judges believe most powerfully illustrates the positive impact and quality of modern consulting.
