Young MCA | Cyber Security – State of the Nation

Join the Young MCA and speakers from BAE Systems Digital Intelligence as we take a look at how cyber security impacts society and the current threats and trends in the cyber space at the moment.  We’ll also hear from consultants at different stages in their careers on what it is like to work in this space, what has changed since they started and what the future holds for cyber security.

About the Speakers:

Adrian Nish

“Dr Adrian Nish is the Head of Cyber Propositions at BAE Systems, with responsibility for overseeing BAE’s cyber product portfolio, business strategy and investment. Prior to this, Adrian ran the Cyber Technical Services team,  leading areas of Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, and Security Testing. Adrian’s background is predominantly technical, with expertise in cyber data analysis and investigations. He has a passion for geo-politics, the social impact of technology, and the relationship between security and technology. Adrian holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Oxford.”

Kieran Cassidy

Kieran Cassidy is BAE Systems’ Lead Architect for the STARA service (Security Threat and Risk Assessment). Whilst at BAE he has worked with various British and international government departments to deliver national security strategy and policy. He was a former Royal Marines Commando serving in security and counter intelligence. He has previously written about his experience, which can be found here. Kieran also holds an MSc in Cyber Security where he focused on areas such as cyber terrorism, warfare and espionage.

Suzy Lockwood

Having started as a Graduate in 2018, Suzy is now a Principal Consultant at BAE Systems. She has worked with clients across Homeland Security, Transport and Financial Services and has been heavily involved in leading major programme and cyber delivery at the Home Office.

Charlotte Eve

Charlotte is a Security Consultant at BAE Systems where she has primarily focused on security monitoring, threat and vulnerability management.
