Maja embodies all the qualities of a leader, which makes her an exemplary role model for the rest of the team at Amey Consulting. Maja is passionate about developing people and creating a supportive culture across the teams she works in.
Over the past year, Maja has led the team in the delivery of the transformative Data Science partnership at Highways England, working closely with the client to transform them into a data-led organisation. In addition, she has provided programme planning expertise on the Thames Tideway programme.
Thanks to Maja’s specialism in Programme Planning and Management, she excels at taking a holistic view of delivery programmes. This gives clarity in direction, both at an individual level and for the whole team. At the same time, Maja focuses on building a strong, empowered team culture. She demonstrates a balance between empathy and openness with a constructive challenge, leading her to build a self-sufficient team that enables individuals to develop themselves and others.
Because of Maja’s leadership approach, the team have proven adaptable to the changing circumstances during the pandemic and can deal with the high levels of uncertainty. Her leadership and development of a collaborative client programme team have resulted in Highways England delivering £60m+ efficiency saving within the current control period.
