Pamela Thomas PwC

Pamela is a director in PwC’s Financial Services practice, specialising in the delivery of large-scale transformational change programmes for some of the firm’s most complex global clients. Her focus is on leading the turnaround of intricate programmes that have been failing or are in crisis. She has extensive experience of leading global teams, having led major engagements in Europe, the US, Asia and Africa.

Pamela’s leadership approach is deeply rooted in her personal values, as well as experiences gained from living and working abroad which have brought her closer to other cultures and ways of doing things.

At a recent Group Compliance Transformation programme, Pamela played a critical role in shaping and influencing senior management on their transformation journey. She carefully navigated a complex set of organisational challenges and cultural differences to establish the pace of change the client was capable of absorbing. She gained the trust and confidence of the leadership team about how to execute the programme, which allowed PwC to deliver tangible results.

Pamela has a record of building diverse, multi-competency teams that work seamlessly across jurisdictions. Her effectiveness in integrating international teams’ impresses, as does her commitment to developing people, her ability to coach, nurture and inspire them to deliver client outcomes to the highest quality standards.

Throughout her career Pamela has been committed to improving diversity and inclusion in the workplace. She demonstrated outstanding leadership, personal resilience and care in the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement – providing mentoring and support to black colleagues, speaking up in conversations with PwC’s leadership and sharing ideas to drive meaningful change.
