Young Consultant of the Year
The fact that Aakash Phulwhani is now a Manager in EY’s UK&I Cloud Team is testament to his focus on a goal; after all, it was only a few years ago that he joined EY as a graduate, where he set out to become the go-to person for anything cloud-related at the company. Today, Aakash’s achievements are held in extremely high regard.
Since he started out as a consultant in EY’s Cloud team in New York, his proactivity and rapid progress resulted in him being asked to join the UK team, building out EY’s Cloud business. He was quick to take to the challenge, and, in a very short period of time, has played a significant role in developing and growing EY UK’s entire cloud strategy – helping to build a strong foundational platform from which to service clients in the UK and create EY’s EMEIA Cloud Consulting Playbook. Aakash has certainly become one of EY’s global Cloud experts, and today he works on all manner of Cloud-related projects and proposals for EY’s clients.
But none of this happened by accident. Aakash’s preparation, his unrelenting focus on the client, and his leadership style – which draws on his personal experiences as a global dance phenomenon – are all significant factors which have contributed to his achievements. He is a people person with an infectious positive energy that brings together people and he strongly believes in having ‘fun’ at work.
