Charles Oldham has dedicated his 46-year career to the consulting industry.
Charles is currently the Director of Advisory & Analytics at Amey Consulting, one of the UK’s leading engineering consultancies, having joined the company in 2012.
He is responsible for the development of Amey Consulting’s world class advisory and analytics offering, which has differentiated Amey as the only company in its sector to combine infrastructure maintenance and management with an in-house data science capability.
10 years on, the team sits at 200 strong and for clients, owners of critical national infrastructure, such as National Highways, Network Rail and Transport Scotland, Charles’s team has dramatically improved service efficiency, contributed to keeping people safe and driven transformational change.
His leadership has brought advisory and analytical services to the heart of Amey, creating a fundamental shift in the hearts and minds of clients, enabling conversations about innovation and change at C-suite level.
His influence has had a transformative effect on Amey Consulting and has led to expansion into new markets, the winning of new work and the attraction of a diverse range of people and skills into the business.
Fundamentally, Charles has brought a revolutionary new way of thinking to a 100-year-old business and in doing so, redefined the role of a modern engineering consultancy.
