Charlotte Leech, Arcadis

Charlotte Leech - Arcadis

Young Consultant of the Year

Coming into consulting, Charlotte was a complete beginner; she couldn’t even tell you what a consultant was. A door-to-door sales job, knocking on more than 100 doors a day and quickly building rapport with customers to sell to them in two minutes, combined with personal experiences with mental health and developing confidence, have provided her with foundational consulting and leadership skills.

In three years, Charlotte has matured her consulting skills and developed expertise in communications, people development and process design, creating economic and social benefits across the public and private sector. She focuses on getting the client the most value, which, she believes, means never settling for the status quo. She looks for improvements, manages complex and ambiguous situations methodically and collaboratively, and ensures people are listened to and at the centre of decision making, whether they are client leadership or delivery teams.

Charlotte is a future leader within Arcadis. The industry is known for extroverted leadership – yet Charlotte is introverted, leading with impact and success. She has developed her own authentic style, listening to small details, utilising her empathetic nature, and creating psychological safety in her teams. Charlotte’s own experiences have shaped her passion and vision to create an inclusive environment where everyone thrives. A stand out moment is when she transformed Arcadis’ internal training on a global scale, shaping the development of more than 60 individuals within the early careers’ community through enabling access to the right tools to reach their potential as our industry’s future talent.
