Oscar Schroeder, Capgemini Invent

Young Consultant of the Year

MCA Awards 2024 FinalistOscar Schroeder is an accomplished senior consultant who has, in just a few years, proved himself capable of assuming significant responsibilities and leadership roles both with clients and within Capgemini. Having joined as a graduate trainee in December 2020, Oscar spent the early months of his career navigating the additional challenge of working in Covid-19 lockdown. That didn’t hold him back: straight after leaving the Institute, Capgemini’s graduate training programme, Oscar was working closely with global senior leadership in running a major retail account.

He currently has a leading role on a major project, overseeing a huge transformation for a global grocery business encompassing one of the largest-ever such programmes seen in the industry. It involves working with more than 150 stakeholders to deploy new enterprise resource planning software and revolutionise the client’s full operation. The scope and complexity of this project have provided an opportunity for Oscar to showcase his leadership and teamwork skills.

Within Capgemini, Oscar has taken on a lead role in managing graduate learning and development in his team and represented the company at its annual InventX conference in Paris. He continues to develop his skills through volunteering work, particularly when helping prisoners to prepare for life after release by taking part in mock job interviews.

Oscar has achieved a remarkable amount at Capgemini in a very short time. His optimism, enthusiasm and constant desire to embrace new opportunities will ensure that his star continues to rise within the company.
