Thought Leader Consultant of the Year
Sarah Kidd is an outstanding senior manager in PwC’s Risk & Compliance Transformation team. She has worked on some of PwC’s most complex and high-profile projects, leading teams, developing strong client relationships and applying her experience in a practical setting. She has a keen interest in how technology can transform the way financial services institutions manage compliance, and has been leading the development of PwC’s proposition in this area.
In 2023, Sarah authored a thought-provoking paper entitled Artificial Intelligence: Challenges and Opportunities for Compliance, commissioned by the Association for Markets in Europe (AFME). The paper examines the impact that advances in AI may have on the role and capabilities of the Compliance function, and has enjoyed significant interest from firms and regulatory bodies across the industry. The publication became one of AFME’s most-read publications last year, with an exceptional engagement rate of 26%. Between 1% and 3.5% is generally considered good.
In writing the paper, Sarah brought unique perspectives in scoping key themes that covered a variety of areas aligned to pertinent client issues. Given the breadth, complexity and fast-evolving nature of topic, Sarah drew on the extensive PwC network to garner insight from teams across the firm, as well as gather input throughout the content generation, analysis and insight phases.Publication of the paper has led to follow-on conversations with clients and regulators, and has significantly strengthened PwC’s reputation in the market.
