The impacts of the digital divide on disabled people can be particularly damaging, limiting access to information, reducing social interaction, impacting education and employment opportunities and negatively impacting health and well-being.
With 16 million disabled people in the UK, including 11% of the country’s children and 23% of working age adults, it’s clear that tackling this issue is vital to fostering social inclusion.
