As an emergent global digital powerhouse, the cyber cross hairs of threat actors have pivoted to target the Indo-Pacific region. The Indo-Pacific Cyber Programme (IPCP) is strengthening cyber resilience across the region, equipping national cyber agencies and critical national infrastructure organisations with the tools and expertise needed to better detect, prevent and respond to cyber threats. It is an exemplar of collaboration and knowledge sharing for global benefit.

Launched in late 2022, the IPCP is a ground-breaking initiative led by BAE Systems Digital Intelligence working in collaboration with the FCDO and regional governments and partners. In just two years, the programme has delivered over 30 impactful projects, driving lasting change and ensuring that the Indo-Pacific region is better equipped to tackle cyber threats. IPCP’s success underscores the importance of collaboration, adaptability and strategic impact in building a more secure and resilient digital future.

Digital Intelligence played a pivotal role in designing, delivering and managing the programme of tailored projects. Notably, the team facilitated immersive ‘Cyber Bootcamp’ training, developed and delivered workshops, and supported national cyber agencies in achieving regional recognition and membership in global security forums. IPCP’s hands-on approach addressed both tactical needs and long-term strategic goals, ensuring the adoption of best practices and enhanced cyber governance.

A core focus of IPCP is social value, with a dedicated effort to address gender equality and social inclusivity in the cyber domain. Through initiatives like the Women in Cyber Fellowship and dedicated GESI training modules, IPCP has empowered underrepresented groups by creating a ‘safe space’ for women in the region’s cyber security workforce
