MCA Awards 2025 early bird deadline approaching

The MCA Awards are the biggest event in the UK consulting calendar and continue to recognise the transformational work the management consulting sector is delivering for society and the economy as well as championing individuals. The early bird deadline for purchase entries for the awards in 2025 is Friday 13th December and includes individual categories such as ‘Young Consultant of the Year’ and the ‘Chartered Management Consultant of the Year’ along with project categories including ‘Change and Transformation in the Public Sector’, ‘International’ and ‘Social Value’. To help those that enter, an MCA Awards Masterclass with a selection of judges and finalists will take place in January giving advice on the all-important submission.

Each year, the awards continue to grow with record numbers of entries and strong submissions across all categories and from small, medium and large sized consulting firms. There are 25 award categories for 2025 with 10 individual awards and 12 project awards as well as an award for Best New Consultancy, The Times Consultant of the Year and Project of the Year. The MCA awards also celebrate the depth and diversity of talent working across the sector and there are 10 individual categories including Team Leader Consultant of the Year, Rising Star and Young Consultant of the Year. Interviews with consultants, firms and their clients with the judges will take place in June and July and the awards ceremony itself will take place in November.

The MCA Awards are judged by over 55 independent judges drawn from academia, the media industry, government and the private sector. With every submission independently assessed, each judge has to sign a strict code of conduct and follow a marking and interview process with clear guidelines and criteria. Judges will include Lord Victor Adebowale, Chair of the NHS Confederation; Dan Figueiredo, Chief Technology Officer, Microsoft and Tracey Boles, Deputy Business Editor of The Times. The MCA is not involved in the decision-making process regarding the MCA Awards; its role is limited to setting the categories, defining the judging criteria and recruiting the judges. The final decisions are made by the specially selected judges according to the established guidelines.

Tamzen Isacsson, MCA Chief Executive, said:

The MCA Awards highlight the outstanding work done by consultants in partnership with clients as well as the breadth of talent working across the sector. Each year the awards continue to grow attracting participation from large, medium and small sized firms across the industry.  In 2024 there were entries from over 45 leading consulting firms and over 100 client organisations participated in the tough competitive process to reach the finalist stage. The MCA Awards Ceremony is being hosted in November next year and brings together clients and consulting firms from across the UK and the world, as well as government representatives and the media. We encourage everyone to participate to show the value of consulting to both the economy and society.
