MCA Consultant of the Year Awards Identify Excellence in UK Management Consulting

Last night (29 October 2009), at Lords Cricket Ground, management consultants were awarded accolades at the 3rd annual MCA Consultant of the Year Awards, which recognise the best consultants in the UK.

The Awards, run in association with The Times and sponsored by CSC, Mindbench, and Novo Altum, identify the best consultants in each of six categories, where individual consultants have demonstrated excellence in their field of consulting. Three additional categories are awarded to the best consultants at key stages of their careers. The awards are judged by an independent, objective panel of representatives from the public and private sector, including representatives from the Department for Children, Schools and Families, Warwick and Cass Business Schools and DLA Piper. Entry submissions were subjected to a rigorous judging procedure and entrants had to provide client testimonials in support of their entry.

Alan Leaman, CEO of the MCA, commented:
“This year’s awards recognise the top talent in the British consulting industry.  The MCA works constantly with our members to attract the best people into consulting, and our Code of Practice puts high standards and clients interests first. The standard of entries was very high this year and everyone who was shortlisted can be proud of this achievement. The economic climate is tough and our industry is certainly not immune but this is a time when quality and excellence needs to come to the fore. Our industry can be rightly proud of its tremendous wealth of talent – these awards show just why UK consulting is world class.”
