MCA Members Placed in Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For

Avail Consulting was placed 21st while Alsbridge plc was placed 30th.  Both firms were also awarded the highest possible ranking of Three Star Status: of the 795 large, medium and small companies put forward for these awards, only 55 achieved this accolade.

The Accreditation is awarded by Best Companies, the name behind The Sunday Times ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’ lists.  Best Companies assesses each business through a rigorous process, 90 per cent of which comes from a survey of its employees.   Additional information is gathered from a company questionnaire and workplace visit.

For the 2009 awards, 565 small companies completed the process with more than 34,295 employees taking part in the surveys.

MCA membership has become synonymous with quality and professionalism in consulting. All members must adhere to the MCA Code of Practice that provides the consultancy buyer with reassurance that MCA firms maintain the highest standards and these latest accolades demonstrate these high standards.

Rob Garner, Partner and Co-Founder of Avail said:
“We are delighted to have received the recognition of Best Companies as an ‘extraordinary’ place to work”.

“We formed Avail only five years ago with the objective of creating a premium consulting organisation that marries best practice business disciplines with a network / extended family management style and culture.  The Best Companies assessment would indicate that we have achieved this.”

Tim Lloyd, Managing Partner of Alsbridge plc said:
“We are delighted to receive this latest accolade, particularly as the results were based on anonymous questionnaire responses from our team. The sense of camaraderie at Alsbridge has always made us an extra special advisory firm; the fact that we are now described as ‘extraordinary’ has lifted spirits even further!”

Alan Leaman, MCA Chief Executive commented:
“We would like to congratulate Avail Consulting and Alsbridge for their outstanding achievements.  We are delighted that two member firms of the Management Consultancies Association have been recognised as being among the best employers in the UK.”
