The Management Consultancies Association (MCA) has announced that 45 leading consulting firms and hundreds of talented consultants of all ages and backgrounds will be competing for this year’s prestigious awards. The Rt Hon the Lord Hague of Richmond will be the guest presenter for the MCA Awards 2024 in the Autumn which will again be hosted at the Grosvenor Hotel in London. All projects and individuals shortlisted for the finals will be able to attend an exclusive event at the newly restored Orangery at Kensington Palace in September. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony and dinner taking place in London on Tuesday 15th October attended by the management consultancy sector and key stakeholders including Government, national media, and major client organisations.

The MCA Awards continues to recognise the transformational work the management consulting sector is delivering for society and the economy as well as championing the diverse individuals of all ages and backgrounds who are having a significant impact in their careers. Over 45 leading consulting firms are participating this year from across the MCA membership and there is a large number of non members competing for the prized Best New Consultancy Award. The MCA Awards this year have received strong submissions across all categories and from a variety of firms including small, medium and large sized consulting firms. The independent judging panel has also expanded with new judges including Baroness Tanni Grey-Thomson; broadcaster Matt Frei and Deputy Business Editor for The Times, Tracey Boles. Judges mark the entries with no knowledge or information about the name or size of the firm entering or the individual names and the finalists will be announced on the MCA website on Monday 20th May.

Guest presenter, The Rt Hon Lord Hague of Richmond, was Member of Parliament for Richmond for 26 years. A prominent political leader for more than 20 years, he served as Leader of the Conservative Party and as Foreign Secretary. After announcing his intention to step down, he concluded his political career as First Secretary of State and Leader of the House of Commons. In four years as Foreign Secretary, he dealt with a turbulent period encompassing wars in Libya and Syria, withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Ukraine crisis, the struggle against terrorism and relations with Europe. He expanded Britain’s diplomatic network and placed a renewed emphasis on export success. He was also responsible for two of Britain’s intelligence agencies and visited more countries than any Foreign Secretary in history.

Tamzen Isacsson, MCA Chief Executive, said:
