Outstanding Achievement
When the Covid-19 pandemic hit the UK, Kevin stepped up to take a leadership role in planning the vaccine response. He was involved from the very start of the Vaccine Task Force, working closely as a part of the leadership team to set up the task force, with specific responsibility for project managing the response. This included preparing many of the briefing documents for Government and the associated funding requirements. Kevin used his experience from 20 years experience of delivering large complex transformation programmes and is recognised within IBM for robust delivery leveraging best practice Programme Management on IBM’s most complex projects. He previously spent three years delivering a large supply chain transformation at a Global Pharmaceutical Client which gave him excellent industry knowledge on which to design the future Covid-19 vaccine supply chain.
Kevin used his expert knowledge of the vaccine supply chain, security, storage, distribution, antibody and legacy work to develop robust a supply chain as soon as vaccines were approved. He led a discussion with the vaccine manufacturers to ensure that risk and traceability were appropriately designed into the supply chains. Kevin really excelled in building relationships, both as a member of the BIA Expert Advisory Group and developing high trust relationships across the supplier ecosystem. He became a truly trusted advisor to a wide range of senior Government stakeholders and was a true ambassador for the consulting profession with his professionalism, drive and continually going above and beyond what was asked.
