Akhil Nair is an industry leader, inspiring organisations to make efficient and targeted use of technology with a real focus on customer benefit. Having moved away from management consulting into FinTech, the power of consulting’s ability to make wide ranging impact across multiple industries drew him back into the profession. Akhil now has a unique combination of client-side and consulting skills, experience leading and delivering an industry leading technology company, and the ability to translate his skill set across domains from London Underground’s complex signalling systems, to Defra’s environmental policy tools, through to telecoms products.
Akhil’s has worked to encourage young and diverse technology-minded people to move into the profession, which is already having industry-wide benefit. With his background in mathematics and statistics and his senior stakeholder management skills, he acts as a mentor for his peers and those new to the profession, provides company-wide technical structure and is a trusted senior partner for clients. This is achieved with a humility that brings together technical and non-technical groups across his own organisation, with other management consulting partners, and with our clients.
Akhil work as technical lead of analytics-led performance improvement in London Underground contributed £100m+ of savings across three lines, and 80% performance improvement gains. His guidance for Virgin Media O2 supports some of their most challenging big data problems with minimum cost and at record speed.
