Team Leader Consultant of the Year
Chris Sparrow is led by a true passion and commitment to the NHS and NECS Consultancy. He consistently delivers high-quality consulting services which have a direct impact on patients and health and social care.
He joined NECS in 2018 from Manchester Foundation Trust where he had been Head of Delivery leading initiatives across health and social care transformation. He has over 10 years NHS experience and 7 years consultancy experience. NECS Consultancy had a unique offering which matched his ambitions for developing sustainable, values-driven change and had staff who shared the same philosophy. This provided him with the challenge of setting up a new regional consultancy office in the North-West alongside supporting clients to make a difference in health and social care. Alongside building the regional team he has successfully led and delivered several vital healthcare projects including:
• Midlands Elective Recovery (MCA finalist award in 2022)
• Large scale merger between NHS England, NHS Digital and Health Education England
• Delivering Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) through the Covid-19 pandemic
• Cancer Performance Improvement (Midlands and East)
Alongside this, he has contributed to the continuous improvement of NECS through internal focused projects including redesign of staff resourcing, leading the corporate operations team, and developing the NECS competency framework.
