Mira’s purpose is to redefine successful innovation as responsible innovation. As a digital ethicist in EY Consulting Technology Risk area, her thought leadership has been essential to helping companies across sectors understand the ethical impacts of emerging technologies and how to operationalise digital ethics at scale. Her focus bridges several key technologies that are top of mind for innovation leaders, policymakers and the wider public, including artificial intelligence (AI), the metaverse and quantum technologies.

Her approach to consulting has proven both unique and illuminating for EY clients. A social scientist by training, Mira understands the urgency of bringing non-traditional talent into conversations surrounding emerging technology to complement technical team members and enable socially beneficial outcomes.

Crucially, she has been building and developing the EY quantum expertise and profile, where her contribution to the field is widely recognised. This is best summarised by some of her achievements:

  • Leading landmark research collaboration with the University of Oxford on behalf of EY UK on responsible quantum computing.
