Edward started his career as a civil engineer and following 17 years in consulting, now leads the Energy & Utilities team at Moorhouse. Edward has led the team for 5 years and grown the sector from one client to be the largest sector at Moorhouse with 100 consultants. Operating at the heart of the sector’s transition to net zero and other industry challenges. Edward has built a team driven by a shared passion for purposeful projects and was recently recognised as a leader in this area by the Financial Times report.
Projects include leading the delivery of Market Wide Half Hourly Settlement across the energy industry. which is a key enabler to the UK meeting net zero and expects benefits of between £1.6bn and £4.5bn. He also led Moorhouse’s support to the Energy Price Guarantee Scheme at Ofgem and the Energy Bills Discount Scheme at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, reflecting his commitment to supporting consumers and businesses through the energy crisis.
Edward led Moorhouse’s B-Corp accreditation, something only a handful of management consultancies hold, scoring 94.2 against an average of 50.9. This demonstrates his personal and Moorhouse’s commitment to aligning the business with the B-Corp values of sustainability, purpose, and social value.
Fundamental to Edward’s success has been building a diverse and blended team. He chairs the Working Parents Group at Moorhouse, and as a working father with two boys, his leadership sets an example by showcasing a balanced parenting and driving tangible change to policies.
