Inclusion Award
As someone who has worked across different regions, within a male-dominated field, and came out as part of the LGBTQ+ community mid-way through her career, Jess has seen the benefits of bringing her authentic self to work. She has space to explore and succeed with her colleagues and clients, and since transferring to the UK in 2022, has made good use of her learnings from prior roles.
At PwC Canada, Jess founded and led the Women in Financial Services (WiFi) network – a space for women+ to meet and learn about leadership, inclusion and progressing within the industry. In the UK, Jess leads the inclusion and diversity initiatives for PwC’s Insurance Asset Wealth Management Consulting partner group. In this role, she has embedded best practices to close the gender disparity gap within Consulting, and has introduced a greater focus on LGBTQ+ matters and the experiences of neurodivergent and non-visible minorities.
Jess is also driving PwC’s proposition for “Serving the Underserved”, focusing on financial inclusion, providing clients with the tools to better serve vulnerable and underserved customer segments. This is a particular passion, as Jess believes financial inclusion is a necessary step for individuals to thrive in society. Jess enjoys leading this offering, as it allows her to play a role in promoting diversity and inclusion with her clients, bringing lessons learned from her internal roles to her project work.
Outside of her internal and client work on inclusion, Jess represents PwC at the OutLeadership London events and Nexus LGBTQ+ events.
