He brings together the complexities of finance and technology to deliver positive outcomes not just for clients, but employees, suppliers and communities alike.
Over the past two years, he has overseen a remarkable expansion in EY’s Digital Finance consultancy, including significant revenue growth. Perhaps his biggest achievement is establishing and developing EY’s highly-regarded Digital Applications practice. Under Waqas’s leadership, the practice – focused on market-leading and innovative new technologies – has grown from two people to a highly diverse, integrated team of more than 50 members, in just two years. In building the Digital Applications practice, he has delivered numerous client projects and is bringing incredible value to EY clients.
Across his personal and professional life, Waqas exemplifies humility, consistency and strong moral values. He gives back to those around him while his story – one of dedication, innovation and a heartfelt desire to be a role model for the next generation – resonates. He is involved in supporting education for underprivileged communities in UK and Asia, and serves as a mentor to a number of people inside and outside EY.
