Team Leader Consultant of the Year
In September 2021, Paul headed to London from Manchester for a six-week engagement to help a newly forming IT leadership team identify how best to navigate their separation from an historic institution – ensuring they could land safely, as part of a tier one private equity buyout, whilst laying the foundations for their ambitious plans for growth. Over the course of twenty-four intense months, Paul proved crucial in shaping how his client’s IT function navigated its formative years – leading a large multi-disciplined team of consultants to help support their client through a once in a lifetime carve out.
We fully believe Paul deserves the Team Leader award, given the lasting legacy and great outcomes that he facilitated for his client, and the consultants that he took such pride in developing. Through his sleeves rolled-up leadership style, Paul led by example – setting the tone and high standard expected of his team by both him and the client. This was no easy task in a newly formed global organisation that had to meet the incredibly high demands of a private equity backed business.
Paul’s proudest accomplishment was his ability to develop and empower others at every career level — from new graduates to C-suite executives. Many of the people Paul led now thrive in more senior roles, thanks to the confidence, mindset, and approach he inspired and instilled. Their continued commitment to delivering outstanding results for their own clients, and developing others themselves, is a testament to Paul’s exceptional leadership.
