Broadcaster and author Clare Balding CBE has been announced by the Management Consultancies Association (MCA) as the presenter for the MCA Awards 2023 taking place at a new larger venue in London, the Grosvenor Hotel, in the Autumn. The MCA Awards, now in their 26th year, will recognise the transformational work the management consulting sector is delivering for society as well as championing the individuals who are having a significant impact in their careers. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony and dinner taking place in London on Monday 9th October attended by the management consultancy sector and key stakeholders including Government, national media, and major client organisations.
This year’s MCA Awards have experienced a record year of participation and interest from across the consulting sector and over 50 firms have entered their project teams and individuals with entries up nearly 10% on last year, which was itself a record year. The MCA Awards has attracted participation from across the diversity of the sector with large, medium, and small firms all competing against each and 30 of the firms are SMEs. The panel of 50 independent judges is currently marking several hundred entries and deciding which firms and individuals will be shortlisted to the finalist stage based on strict marking criteria. Judges mark the entries with no knowledge or information about the name or size of the firm entering or the individual names. The finalists will be announced on the MCA website on 22nd May. The MCA Awards sold out six weeks in advance of last year’s event and for this reason it will be hosted at a new bigger venue in central London in October.
